Behind the Design: Museum Without Walls
Amgueddfa Cymru (Museum Wales) embarked on an ambitious initiative as part of their 2030 strategy, seeking to reach diverse audiences beyond traditional museum settings.
Stuart Clarke, Product Design Manager reveals how we applied our expert user-centred design approach, built on extensive research into user needs and stakeholder insights. The concept design phase involved team ideation exercises and resulted in a versatile, adaptable design.
The proof of concept prototype was a pivotal stage, enabling the museum to test and refine the design. Stuart shares insights gained from the testing phase, emphasising the adaptability and scalability of the final product - a design that can be disassembled into a flat-pack format, making it transportable and ideal for various display scenarios.
